Noise Machine

God does not play dice. There’s no such thing as random. Randomness is basically stuff that appears to have no direct cause or pattern. The illusion is just this - random things appear to have no direct cause or pattern, but they must do, otherwise they wouldn’t exist.

That’s why computers can’t generate seemingly random numbers easily. I guess all you really need to do is model a very complex system, and if it’s complex enough then it will appear random to people.

The universe is just a bunch of stacked probabilities. No chance, as such. Just stuff we can’t percieve, or easily generate ourselves.

In fact, the word RANDOM is a linguistic trap. What it actually means is complex,

or even just ‘complex’ !

My site’s been down for a few days due to my host getting into trouble and going AWOL. They also host the anarchist cinema, but unfortunately that seems to have attracted the wrong kind of attention - the anarchist cinema is currently closed. I think they’re planning to reopen soon with a more understanding agent.

In addition, i’m going to be moving to a new server soon. I’ll keep you posted.

Anyhow. Hope you are all O.K. My second year courses begin on the week of the 26th of september, starting with Avant Garde and Experimental Cinema.
